Note: The documents, which have not been authenticated by a relevant State-Level Secretary of State or by the Office of Authentication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be considered as ineligible and returned, even if they have been issued/certified/or notarized by a county clerk, court clerk, notary public or other U.S. authorities.

6. Include a self-addressed postage-paid return envelope. You should use one of the following mailing services which provide tracking numbers: Federal Express (FedEx), or USPS Express Mail. If you use FedEx, please make sure your name, address, FedEx account and phone number in both sender’s and recipient’s boxes.

There are two forms of payment to the Vietnamese embassy in Washington, DC; whether through Money Orders or Cashier’s Checks payable to the embassy of Vietnam.

Regular processing time varies between five to seven business days, and it might be longer than that due to the current COVID-19 situation.
